Another pedestrian episode with nothing to make it essential.

Crockett and Tubbs track a witness who escaped protective custody. They find him down in the Everglades and it turns out that his daughter was kidnapped to insure that he does not testify.

While not very memorable, there is a fairly well executed shoot out at the end that features some brief moments of comedy by an old-timer who is assisting Crockett and Tubbs.

In an interesting side note, guest star John Pankow would go on to co-star in the 1985 movie To Live and Die in L.A. Although based on a novel about the Secret Service the movie at times looks and sounds like a west coast version of Miami Vice.
